15 July 2010 No Comment

Global Help is the personal survival kit for emergencies large and small while on the road and at home. Breakdown or accident? Lost your wallet? Need a doctor? Need to call your embassy? Global Help turns your iPhone into a mobile SOS-telephone and makes your iPod touch a first aid phone directory. Fast and easy-to-use worldwide – for 198 countries and available in 7 languages. No internet connection required.

Global Help includes the following information and emergency numbers*:
• Fire, police, and ambulance emergency numbers
• Poison hotline
• Automobile breakdown services
• Cancellation hotlines for Maestro and credit cards
• Foreign embassies, agencies, consulates, and similar organizations
• Mountain rescue services
• Distress at sea
• Divers Alert Network (DAN)
• Counseling
• Airline Service numbers (coming soon in next updates)
* Selection varies with country. The developers are expanding the databases continuously.

• Phone numbers can be dialed directly on the iPhone – the iPod touch serves as address and phone directory
• All data is part of the application, no Internet connection required
• You can edit existing data records and add your own
• Define favorite destinations and multiple nationalities for yourself and your fellow travelers for rapid access
• Hold the iPhone horizontally, to display the address using bigger fonts e.g. for taxi drivers

Service Plus
• Global Help offers regular updates
• Simple and transparent feedback functions allow you to send suggestions and changes
• Global Help is continuously enhanced in response to customer feedback

Global Help is available on iTunes store. The developers told RED SEA RESEARCH that they are glad for any feedback on missing numbers. They won’t bite you – big promise ;)
